Blue Pants Brewery celebrates 7 years in Madison!
A Madison native, Mike Spratley, “Mr. Blue Pants” himself, is the owner / operator of Blue Pants Brewery in Madison. Having been bitten by the homebrew and craft brew industry in Seattle, Washington, Mike started his brewing career in 2007. When he moved back to Madison, he realized that microbrewery was missing from the landscape and decided to put his craft to the test opening Blue Pants in 2010. Mike put his creativity to work to create unique beers that are incredible. The brewery has a taproom with a large selection of beers and they rotate their taps. But Blue Pants isn’t all about craft beer! They also produce vodka, rum, whiskey and gin, so there is no shortage of spirits to choose from. Their best seller is typically their seasonal brew and they are currently getting ready for Oktoberfest!
So if you haven’t visited, you must go an enjoy some time on their patio, listening to music and enjoying food from one of the Food Trucks that is available on-site. You can check out the Blue Pants Facebook page to get a schedule of events. In fact, plan to attend the Sausage Fest! The Madison Firefighters are teaming up with Blue Pants on September 9th from 12 PM – 10 PM to raise money for charity. Buy your tickets and enjoy the music, yard games, and the all-you-can-eat samples from the cook teams. And kids under 12 get in free!
